About Julia

Hello!

I have a passion to help people find their voice and put their thoughts into words. For many years I have been writing and creating-- be it for school/college, or for any jobs that I have had. I would love to help others do the same. Writing is an important skill to have whether you are a student or in the work force. I hope to help you find your professional and/or creative voice through writing!

I used to work with children and teaching on a pre-K and kindergarten level. I was also a substitute teacher for the local high schools while I nannied for a local family.

I have had Honors level literature and writing in high school and college level courses while attending University.

About the lesson

I get to know what the student's interests are and what they are passionate about so that when possible we can incorporate that passion into their writing/work.

I have worked with all ages.

Don't settle for a teacher just because they sound like they have all the "necessary requirements"... just because someone may have a teaching degree in something doesn't mean they know how to teach. They may have the knowledge on that subject, but that doesn't mean they can teach it.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Think about what it is you struggle with when it comes to a certain subject. Do you struggle with creative writing? Or do you struggle with simply getting a sentence onto paper? Maybe you need to work on grammar?
