About William

My goal was to help students understand and use past tense verbs correctly in both speaking and writing. I started by explaining the rules and giving examples, then guided students through group activities and a short reading exercise to practice what they learned. I noticed that most students were engaged and participated actively, though a few needed extra support with irregular verbs. Overall, I feel the lesson was successful, and next time I plan to include additional exercises to reinforce those challenging areas.

About the lesson

the Past Simple Tense”]. The objective was for students to understand and correctly use past tense verbs in both written and spoken English. The lesson began with a brief discussion to activate prior knowledge, followed by explanations and examples of regular and irregular verbs. Students then participated in group activities where they created short stories using past tense, which helped reinforce their understanding. Finally, a reading comprehension exercise allowed students to practice identifying past tense verbs in context. Overall, students were engaged and enthusiastic, with most demonstrating improved confidence in using the past tense. For future lessons, I plan to provide additional exercises on irregular verbs to further support those who need extra practice.
