Enjoyable learning is a huge part of my teaching philosophy! I meet students where they are, hoping to make learning fun while still grasping learning outcomes. Foundational mastery is also part of my methodology. I like to master the foundations of subject material first in order to develop faster processing in advanced material later on.
My teaching method is mostly conversational and storytelling based. This brings fun into the classroom while helping students to put their language skills into everyday practice. I have found that providing examples through storytelling helps to link words to real life situations. This assists in the functions of their daily lives both in and outside of the classroom.
My methods revolve around the need of the student and what would help them gain more perspective on the subject at hand. This comes with structure and planning then application.
I tutor one on one in language arts to active students. I have involvement in the training of new officers. teaching, writing, reading.
