About Selin

With over eight years of experience as both a private tutor and university lecturer, I bring a wealth of knowledge and dedication to every lesson. Holding a Master’s degree in Law, I am committed to delivering high-quality, personalised English tuition tailored to each student’s unique needs. I genuinely find fulfilment and joy in helping people break through challenges and truly understand new concepts. Guiding students to build confidence and achieve their learning goals inspires me every day. My teaching approach is patient, structured, and adaptable, combining clear explanations with engaging activities. Whether you are a young learner preparing for exams such as 11+, GCSEs, or A-levels, or an adult seeking to improve conversational or business English, you can trust in my professionalism and proven track record. I pride myself on creating a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and progressing at their own pace. Every lesson is designed with care to ensure clarity, progress, and, above all, confidence in using English.

About the lesson

I believe that effective learning happens in a patient, supportive, and engaging environment tailored to each student’s individual needs and goals. My teaching methodology focuses on building a strong foundation in English by combining structured lessons with interactive activities. I use a mix of techniques including guided reading, writing exercises, grammar drills, and conversational practice to ensure a well-rounded development of language skills. Each lesson is typically 60 minutes long, allowing enough time to cover new material, review previous topics, and address any questions. I adapt the pace and content according to the student’s progress and comfort level to make sure learning is effective and enjoyable. With over eight years of experience as a private tutor and university lecturer, and holding a Master’s degree in Law, I bring a deep understanding of academic and practical language use. I have supported learners from ages 7 to adults, working with children preparing for exams like 11+, GCSEs, and A-levels, as well as adults seeking to improve conversational or business English. My lessons are designed for all levels, from beginners to advanced learners, and I strive to create a positive space where every student feels confident to ask questions and grow at their own pace.
