About Cherize
Hello and welcome! My name is Cherize. My students call me Cherry!
I am a qualified and experienced English teacher who works exclusively with adult learners.
I have 13 years of teaching experience, including 8 years of online instruction with students from around the world. I hold a degree in Teaching as well as an Honors degree in Psychology, which allows me to understand not only language development, but also how adults learn most effectively.
I specialize in conversational English, exam preparation, and Business English. I am also a former IELTS examiner, with three years of examining experience, which gives me in-depth insight into how the test is assessed and what examiners are looking for. Over the years, I have helped hundreds of students successfully pass their IELTS exams through structured preparation and targeted feedback.
My lessons are professional, structured, and tailored to each student’s goals. I focus on clear explanations, practical application, and building confidence so that you can use English effectively in real-world situations.

My approach to tutoring is structured, goal-focused, and tailored to each individual student. I teach in English and am also proficient in other languages, so I know what it feels like to study a second or third language. Lessons are conducted primarily in English to maximize immersion, with clarification available when needed.

For IELTS and other exam preparation, I provide timed practice, strategy training, and feedback based on official assessment criteria.
