About Joel

Hello, I’m Joel, an English tutor, bestselling author and singer-songwriter from the United Kingdom. I hold a bachelor’s degree in English Literature and Creative Writing, and I have recently completed my CELTA (Cambridge English teaching) qualification. Through my CELTA training, I helped students develop their reading, listening, speaking, writing, grammar, vocabulary, and functional language in meaningful, real-world contexts. I look forward to hearing from you and together we can improve your English.

About the lesson

As a multi-published author, I bring creativity and an innovative approach to each lesson. Through ongoing training to become a psychotherapist, I endeavor to bring empathy, patience, and a student-centered focus to every class. Who do I Teach? • (Currently) I teach students at the following CEFR levels: A2 – Pre-Intermediate, B1 – Intermediate, B2 – Upper Intermediate • Those wishing to improve their conversational English • Creative writers or literature lovers If you’d like to learn with me but fall outside of the above categories, contact me anyway and we may be able to find a solution. Whether you’re just beginning your English journey or looking to refine your skills for academic, professional, or personal purposes, I’m here to support you. I can adapt each lesson to suit your learning goals.
