About Jessica

Hi, I’m Jessica, a certified special education teacher with 8 years of experience supporting elementary students across a range of learning needs. I hold a Master’s degree in Special Education and have taught multiple grade levels, giving me a strong understanding of how to help students build foundational skills in reading and writing.

I am passionate about creating a supportive, structured learning environment where students feel comfortable, motivated, and capable. I use evidence-based strategies, ongoing progress monitoring, and individualized instruction to ensure each student is making meaningful growth.

Families can expect clear communication, consistency, and a professional, reliable tutoring experience. My goal is not only to improve academic skills, but also to help each student develop confidence and a positive attitude toward learning.

About the lesson

My approach is patient, supportive, and highly individualized—I meet each child where they are and build skills step by step to grow both ability and confidence.

In a typical session, I combine direct instruction with interactive activities, guided practice, and meaningful feedback. For English tutoring, I focus on strengthening reading comprehension, writing skills, vocabulary, and overall confidence through engaging, age-appropriate strategies.

What sets me apart is my background in special education, which allows me to adapt lessons to different learning styles and support students who may need extra structure or encouragement. My lessons are ideal for elementary students of all levels, including those who are struggling, need extra reinforcement, or want to get ahead.
