About Lara

My name is Lara Butcher. I am a passionate and dedicated educator who loves helping students grow in confidence and ability. Supporting children in their learning journey is something I truly enjoy, especially when I see those “lightbulb” moments happen. I bring both professional training and real-life experience to my teaching. Alongside my formal background in education and intervention, I have practical, hands-on experience working with students in a variety of settings — online, in person, and in small groups. I have also applied many of these strategies in my own home with my children, which has given me valuable insight into how to support different learning styles with patience and understanding. My teaching style is structured, encouraging, and step-by-step. I believe in breaking concepts down into manageable parts so students can build strong foundations before moving forward. Every child learns differently, and I am committed to adapting my approach to meet each student’s unique needs. My goal is always to create a supportive environment where students feel safe to ask questions, take risks, and develop confidence in their abilities.
