About Joel

Currently a second-year TESL student at Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI) with a Diploma in English, I am dedicated to fostering a love for learning in students. With a solid foundation in language teaching, I am passionate about educating young minds, from primary school through Form 3. My goal is to create engaging and enriching learning experiences that help students grow academically and personally.

About the lesson

My teaching methods are tailored to suit each student’s level and learning style.

-I incorporate: Grammar Made Simple: I break down complex grammar rules into bite-sized explanations and use hands-on practice to help students apply them in writing and speaking.

-Interactive Learning: Lessons include games, role-plays, and multimedia to make learning fun and memorable.

-Vocabulary Expansion: I use context-based activities like storytelling, reading passages, and themed word banks to help students remember and use new words confidently.

-Writing Support: I guide students through various writing formats—essays, short stories, and formal letters—by providing clear examples, feedback, and editing tips.

-Speaking Confidence: I encourage active participation through discussions, presentations, and pronunciation exercises to help students express themselves fluently and clearly.

-Exam Readiness: For school exams, I focus on past-year questions, comprehension strategies, and time management skills to boost performance.

My goal is not only to help students succeed academically but also to make English a language they enjoy using every day.
