About Sajida

I am a behavioral neuroscience major with a Statistics minor at St. Lawrence University. Currently studying abroad in Denmark for research in the field of Neuroscience of Consciousness focusing on Unconscious decision-making.
The brain is fascinating, and Neural pruning and connections have always enthralled me. I am interested in research that focuses on the experimental analysis of behavior, whether human or non-human. Using rodent models to investigate behaviors like impulsivity, social anxiety, and memory deficits mainly as a result of early life stress.
I have worked at Chegg as a science tutor for six months where I my tutees gave positive feedback about my teaching and tutoring methods. I work as an intern at the Language Resource Center at St. Lawrence University where I tutor for English and Urdu language.
Furthermore, I have conducted research investigating the correlation between menstrual hygiene management and gynecological disorders in females of Gilgit, North Pakistan. The two were shockingly correlated; hence, I am working on a project called "Their Blood" where I work with girls from the less-advantaged areas of North Pakistan to ensure healthy menstrual hygiene management. United World Colleges sponsored Go Make a Difference (GoMad) grant helped me in my project, but it is an ongoing project. In addition, I have experience in coding using R, SPSS, and E-prime.. Teamwork, leading group discussion and facilitation are skills I consider my strength.
