About Shannon

I specialize in helping high school students feel confident and capable in all sciences. I began tutoring chemistry and biology when I was in high school, and I discovered how much I enjoy making challenging concepts click for other students. My approach is patient, clear, and focused on understanding rather than memorization. I break down big ideas into manageable steps and help students build the problem-solving habits they need for tests and labs. Whether you’re preparing for exams, catching up in class, or aiming to boost your grade, I’ll meet you where you are and guide you toward real comprehension (and maybe even enjoying the material along the way). I know how overwhelming science can seem at first — but with the right explanations, it becomes logical and even fun. My goal is to help every student leave our sessions feeling more confident than when they arrived.
