About Cheriyan

Hello, I’m Cheriyan John, currently pursuing my PhD in Chemistry at Christ University, Bangalore. Teaching is not just my profession—it’s my passion. With a Master’s degree in Chemistry and several years of teaching experience, I have had the privilege of guiding students from diverse backgrounds and helping them achieve their academic goals. I believe that every student has the potential to excel when supported with the right guidance and motivation. My classes are designed to make learning clear, structured, and engaging. I focus on building strong fundamentals, using real-world examples, interactive discussions, and problem-solving exercises to ensure that students develop both conceptual understanding and practical skills. As a teacher, what sets me apart is my research background and academic journey, which allows me to bring fresh insights from advanced chemistry and materials science into my lessons. I also emphasize critical thinking, exam strategies, and confidence-building—so students are not just prepared for exams, but for lifelong learning. Over the years, my students have improved their performance, developed a genuine interest in science, and gone on to excel in higher studies and competitive examinations. About the lesson

As a teacher, I believe that every student learns best when concepts are broken down into simple, relatable ideas. My approach combines conceptual clarity with practical applications, so that learners not only understand theory but also see its real-world importance.

A typical class with me begins with a quick recap of previously learned material, followed by a clear explanation of new topics using examples, visual aids, and problem-solving exercises. I encourage students to ask questions freely and make sure to adapt my pace to their individual learning style. Towards the end of each class, I include practice problems, quick quizzes, or discussion-based activities to reinforce learning and build confidence.

What makes me stand out is my research background in advanced chemistry and materials science, which allows me to bring in-depth insights and up-to-date knowledge beyond textbooks. I also emphasize exam strategies, time management, and critical thinking—skills that help students excel academically and beyond.
