As a magna cum laude History graduate from the University of San Diego and an incoming Master of Education student, I bring both academic excellence and a deep passion for teaching. My experience leading campus organizations and tutoring peers has equipped me with the communication skills, patience, and professionalism needed to help students thrive. About the lesson

My approach as a tutor centers on making Social Studies engaging, relatable, and student-driven. I use a mix of guided discussion, real-world examples, and active questioning to encourage critical thinking and connection to the material. A typical lesson begins with a quick review, followed by interactive instruction tailored to the student’s current curriculum or goals—whether it’s improving essay writing, preparing for an AP exam, or understanding complex historical concepts. I also include reflection questions to reinforce understanding. What sets me apart is that, as a recent graduate, I’m close in age to my students, which helps me communicate in a way they connect with.
