About Shaikh

I have a Master’s Organic Chemistry degree and I’ve been teaching in college, so I break down complicated Science, Chemistry and Statistics into easy-to-get, high-scoring concepts. Structured, patient, exam-focused mentorship built to foster real confidence and deliver top academic results.

About the lesson

My Teaching Philosophy

Science and mathematics often intimidate students when presented purely as memorization. My approach focuses on conceptual understanding, active problem-solving, and exam-targeted practice. Whether breaking down complex organic reaction mechanisms or mastering statistical probability, I teach students how to think through problems rather than simply memorizing formulas.

Key Techniques & Teaching Methodology
Visual & Step-by-Step Breakdown:

Organic Chemistry: I use structural visualization and arrow-pushing mechanisms so students understand why reactions happen instead of memorizing products.

Statistics: I link statistical concepts (mean, variance, normal distribution, hypothesis testing) to practical data examples so abstract formulas make logical sense.

General Science: I connect fundamental physics, chemistry, and biology concepts to everyday phenomena to build a strong foundational interest.

Active Problem-Solving & Past-Paper Drill: Every session involves guided practice. We break past-paper questions down according to official marking schemes (Cambridge, Edexcel, CBSE) to build exam confidence and precise technique.

Targeted Revision & Error Analysis: We maintain a "mistake notebook" to identify recurring weak points, ensuring error patterns are corrected well before exam day.

Who My Lessons Are For
Level & Age: Secondary and Higher Secondary Students (Ages 12–18 / Grades 7–12 / Year 8–13).

Curricula Covered:

British Curriculum: IGCSE, O-Level, and O-Level (Cambridge / Edexcel).

Indian Curriculum: CBSE / ICSE (Grades 9 to 12).

American & IB Curricula: High School General Science, Chemistry (SL/HL), and Introductory Statistics.

Qualifications & Experience
Academic Background: Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Organic Chemistry combined with a Postgraduate Diploma in Data Science (with extensive applied Statistics and quantitative modeling).

Teaching Experience: Former private college chemistry lecturer for Grades XI–XII and long-term private tutor for O-Level / High School General Science and Chemistry.

Lesson Structure & Typical Length
Standard Session: 60 Minutes (Ideal for weekly topic coverage and regular reinforcement).

Intensive Session: 90 Minutes (Recommended for O-Level Chemistry, advanced Statistics, or exam past-paper revision).

Typical 60-Minute Lesson Breakdown:

First 10 Mins: Quick recap of previous concepts & homework review.

Next 35 Mins: Interactive core lesson (concept breakdown + worked examples together).

Final 15 Mins: Independent exam-style question attempt & structured Q&A feedback.
