About Tanesha

Teaching math is not about finding quick answers for me. It is a slow process of building logic from the ground up for students at every level. My degree is a BS Mathematics from the University of Maryland.

These 6 years of experience have shown that steady gains appear within a few weeks when we focus on the fundamentals. I enjoy watching a student move from confusion to clarity.

The work involves plenty of examples until the method feels automatic for the learner. My approach is calm and supportive.

I have worked with many different students over my 6 years in the classroom. Numbers simply need to be organized correctly in the mind. Consistency creates the results that families hope to see. My goal is to ensure the math makes sense.

About the lesson

Starting with a short diagnostic in the first session is the most unusual way to begin. Most people expect to jump into a new concept immediately instead of reviewing current knowledge gaps.

This brief evaluation allows me to see exactly where the foundation needs strengthening. Whether the student is an honors participant or someone who struggles with basic arithmetic, we start right where they are today.

Geometry basics and order of operations become less intimidating once we break them down into small steps. My math degree helps me explain concepts in multiple ways if one method fails.

Homeschoolers and high school students appreciate the calm atmosphere I provide. We focus on word problems and ratios to improve overall fluency. We will track your progress until you reach the milestones you set for yourself.
